Buraidah: The Qassim branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture showcased its efforts to support and develop the palm and date sector through a dedicated pavilion at the Buraidah International Dates Carnival.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the pavilion featured several specialized sections covering palm tree care, pest prevention and control, harvesting, and storage methods. It also provided information on testing procedures and pesticide residue detection, highlighting measures aimed at ensuring the safety and quality of dates.
Director of the ministry's Buraidah branch Badr Al-Harbi noted that the participation is part of the efforts to develop the palm and date sector and enhance direct communication with farmers, producers, and consumers to expand the reach of modern agricultural practices.
