Riyadh: The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture emphasized the vital role of intellectual property in promoting and protecting the projects of entrepreneurs and innovators during a specialized workshop held at its headquarters in Riyadh, titled "Intellectual Property in the Environment, Water, and Agriculture Sectors."
According to Saudi Press Agency, the workshop brought together specialists, entrepreneurs, and innovation stakeholders, with the participation of the Research, Development, and Innovation Authority, to highlight intellectual property as a strategic tool for supporting innovation. It also aimed to empower innovators and entrepreneurs to effectively leverage their rights, contributing to the Kingdom's goals in innovation and sustainable development.
The workshop covered several key topics, including the definition of intellectual property within the ministry, the types and mechanisms of intellectual property protection, and its role in enhancing competitive advantage and documenting intangible assets.
