Riyadh: Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman Alfadley launched the Regulatory Sandbox Program to support innovation and promote the adoption of technological solutions to address regulatory challenges across the environment, water, and agriculture sectors. The program provides a safe and controlled environment for testing innovative technologies under the supervision of regulatory authorities, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the launch took place during a ceremony held in Riyadh, attended by senior officials from the ministry and its affiliated entities, as well as representatives from innovation and technology sectors.
Regulatory sandboxes are controlled experimental programs designed for regulators and innovators to test innovative products, services, or business models within a supervised environment. Their goal is to assess the impact of regulatory frameworks on innovation.
