Environment Minister Launches Electronic Platform for Incentives, Grants Program

Riyadh: Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture and Chairman of the Environment Fund Board of Directors Abdulrahman Alfadley today launched the electronic platform for the incentives and grants program in the environmental sector, an Environment Fund initiative aimed at enhancing sustainability, promoting projects and initiatives, and supporting the National Environment Strategy.

According to Saudi Press Agency, during the launch ceremony at the ministry, Environment Fund CEO Muneer Al-Sahli noted that the platform would accelerate the program's operations and streamline the beneficiaries' journey. He emphasized that it would enable effective project implementation, promote environmentally friendly practices, support research and innovation, encourage investment in the environmental sector, and enhance environmental commitment in developmental sectors.

He added that the program offers incentives and grants to various groups, including small and medium enterprises, companies, research centers, universities, the non-profit sector, and other stakeholders in the field, to meet these objectives, achieve a sustainable environmental future, enhance quality of life, and support the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The Environment Fund seeks to develop programs and initiatives designed to protect natural resources, reduce pollution, raise environmental awareness, and enhance collaboration with various governmental and private entities to ensure a balance between economic development and environmental protection.
