PM visits Valley of Kings in Luxor

Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli on Thursday 18/04/2019 visited the Valley of Kings where he is scheduled to inaugurate an archaeological tomb and lead the unveiling ceremony of the third statue of King Ramses II.

The tomb’s inauguration falls within the framework of celebrations of the World Heritage Day.

He will also inspect several service and development projects in Upper Egypt’s Luxor governorate.

Earlier in the day, Madbouli visited the Colossi of Memnon at the Mortuary Temple of Amenhotep III on the west bank of the Nile.

The Mortuary Temple of Amenhotep III, also known as Kom el-HettAn, was built by the main architect Amenhotep, son of Habu, for the Pharaoh Amenhotep III (or Amenhetep III) during the 18th Dynasty in the New Kingdom (Kozloff and Bryan).
