Riyadh: The Ministry of Energy's inspection teams conducted 9,263 inspections in July 2026, detecting 964 violations of the Law of Petroleum and Petrochemical Products and the Law on the Distribution of Dry Gas and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) for Residential and Commercial Purposes.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the violations included engaging in unlicensed petroleum or petrochemical activities, engaging in unlicensed retail sales of LPG cylinders, transporting and selling petroleum products through unlicensed carriers, using petroleum products for purposes other than those for which they are designated, and other violations of the two laws.
The inspections aim to strengthen regulatory compliance, ensure the security and reliability of petroleum and petrochemical supplies, and enhance regulatory oversight to curb unlawful practices and protect the market.
The ministry urged consumers to report any observations related to compliance with either law by calling the toll-free Beneficiary Services Center at 1914, through the Taqa Partner Services application, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play, or via the national Tawakkalna application.
The ministry noted that reports are handled through its network of 20 inspection branches across the Kingdom, which operate around the clock to ensure a prompt response, timely follow-up, and effective handling of emergency cases.
