The Israeli Cabinet declared the state of war, as Hamas attacks claimed the lives of about 600 Israelis and left more than two thousand wounded. “Sky News Arabia” quoted Benjamin Netanyahu’s office as saying: “Last night, the political and security cabinet agreed to a state of war, and thus to carry out major military operations, in accordance with Article 40 of the Basic Government Law.”
