Riyadh: The Esports World Cup 2025 is nearing its decisive stages as the knockout rounds of Honor of Kings approach, following the conclusion of the qualifiers in the tournament's second week, currently taking place at Riyadh's Boulevard City.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the qualifiers concluded with eight teams advancing to the next stage. Paws Gaming and Nova Esports topped their respective groups, joined by Alpha7 Esports and OG Esports after strong performances. Team Vitality and Twisted Minds secured the final qualification spots, completing the lineup alongside AG.AL and TT Global for the upcoming knockout rounds.
In the Overwatch competition, Saudi Arabia's Team Falcons officially qualified for the Overwatch Champions Series after defeating ZETA DIVISION in the final qualifying match. The Saudi team delivered an impressive performance, securing their place in the global tournament set to begin on July 31.
The Esports World Cup is one of the leading global entertainment events hosted by Saudi Arabia. Running until mid-August, it features top teams and professional players from major esports titles worldwide, under the umbrella of the Saudi Esports Federation.
