Northern borders region: Livestock farming remains one of the most important economic and social traditions in Northern Borders Region, reflecting the region's deep-rooted Bedouin heritage and serving as a key source of livelihood for generations. According to Saudi Press Agency, with the approach of Eid Al-Adha, the region's markets experience heightened activity and increased demand for sheep, camels, and goats. Many breeders have adopted digital platforms and online applications to market and deliver livestock, making access to sacrificial animals easier for consumers both within and beyond the region. The Northern Borders Region is among the Kingdom's richest in livestock resources, with more than seven million head of camels, sheep, goats, and cattle. This abundance reinforces the region's role in supporting national food security and sustaining Saudi livestock markets.
