Riyadh: The Ehsan National Platform for Charitable Work is a globally leading model of philanthropy, merging human values with advanced technology. As a pioneering benchmark in Saudi Arabia, it uses data and artificial intelligence to enhance charitable efforts within a secure governance framework, ensuring rapid, transparent donations and enabling donors to track their contributions.
According to Saudi Press Agency, backed by the Kingdom's leadership, Ehsan promotes community engagement in charitable efforts. A notable example is Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud's approval to launch the sixth edition of the National Campaign for Charitable Work via Ehsan on Ramadan 3, 1447 AH. This initiative aims to maximize impact during Ramadan, a peak time for donations.
The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) oversees the platform's development, establishing a digital ecosystem that enhances donation efficiency. A key feature is the eligibility platform, which uses precise metrics to ensure aid reaches recipients based on transparent criteria.
Ehsan automates the charitable process, reinforcing public trust through instant reporting and personalized recommendations. Since its launch, total donations have exceeded SAR14 billion across more than 330 million transactions, with 2025 alone recording more than SAR4.5 billion across 135 million contributions.
Currently, the platform averages four transactions per second, totaling SAR144 per second, and over SAR12 million daily. Instant payment solutions and AI-driven recommendations enhance user experience and encourage community engagement. Additionally, collaborations with the National Center for Non-Profit Sector strengthen the sector's digital infrastructure and operational efficiency.
