Egypt’s Minister of Water and Irrigation heads to South Sudan

Egypt’s Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hani Swelim will head on Monday to South Sudan, in his second station in the Nile Basin countries, accompanied with a high-level delegation from the Ministry on a three-day visit.

Swelim is expected to hold several discussions with his south Soudan counterpart Pal Mai Deng to enhance joint cooperation in the field of water resources and irrigation.

During the past two days, the Egyptian official visited Sudan as he met with Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, and conveyed the greetings of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, wishing him all the best and stability for the brotherly Sudanese people.

Minister Hani Swelim stressed the depth of the relationship between the two brotherly countries, and Egypt’s keenness to strengthen cooperation relations with Sudan in all fields, especially in the field of water resources and irrigation, in a way that achieves the aspirations of the two peoples and reflects the unity of purpose and destiny.
