EGYPTIAN COURT REFERS SEVEN TERRORISTS TO GRAND MUFTI FOR EXECUTION OPINION

CAIRO, Egypt, – The Criminal Court of Giza, referred Saturday, seven terrorists to Egypt’s Grand Mufti, as a prelude to their execution, on charges of killing a police officer.

The court, presided by Justice Hussein Kandil, set Sept 24, for a session to declare the final ruling, based on the religious opinion of the Mufti.

The seven defendants were accused of killing Major-General Nabil Faraj, assistant director of Giza security, during an armed confrontation, that took place in Kerdasa village, in Giza, between security forces and terrorist suspects.
