The General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) has signed a contract to buy 42,000 tons of cooking oil.
The oil shipment will arrive between February 5-25, the GASC said in a statement Wednesday.
It is part of the state’s plan to increase its strategic stock of cooking oil to be sufficient for at least six months, the GASC added.
