The Health Ministry said 911 new coronavirus cases were detected in Egypt in the past 24 hours, upping the total number of infections to 347,719.
In a statement released on Thursday night, the ministry said 73 patients died from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 19,780.
As many as 419 patients were discharged from hospitals after receiving medical care, taking the number of recoveries to 289,952, it added.
