Minister of Planning Hala el Saeed said Friday that Egypt was keen on boosting cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and its institutions, as well as playing a key role in developing IsDB business.
El Saeed’s comments came during a videoconference meeting with IsDB President Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser during which they discussed means of boosting cooperation, as well as preparations for the coming IsDB annual general assembly, planned to be hosted by Egypt.
The minister said opening a regional office for IsDB should increase cooperation and coordination between IsDB institutions and the Egyptian, Arab, and African business communities.
