EGX gains LE10B, all indexes up

Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indexes went up collectively at the close of Wednesday’s trading, pushed by purchases from local and Arab institutions and investment funds.

The market capital gained about LE 10 billion to close at LE 1.107 trillion, amid transactions that totaled LE 3 billion.

The EGX 30 benchmark index was up by 0.53 percent, registering 17,522.56 points.

The broader EGX 70 EWI index of the leading small and mid-cap enterprises (SMEs) increased by 1.03 percent to record 3,003.9 points.

The all-embracing EGX 100 index rose by 1.01 percent, closing at 4,523.49 points.
