Educational cooperation between universities of Al-Alamein, Louisville

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Ayman Ashour, emphasized the role of private universities in developing the educational process system.

He pointed to the importance of expanding new programs and responding to the needs of the labor market away from the usual traditional majors, while providing greater opportunities for university education based on international partnerships with classified universities.

He further suggested providing greater opportunities for inter-study programs in new private universities, keeping abreast of contemporary development in education programs at the international level, and contributing to the development of new cities.

In this context, Dr. Essam Al-Kurdi, President of the International University of Al-Alamein, and Dr. Rushdi Zahran, Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, visited the American University of Louisville to discuss the mechanisms of scientific and academic cooperation between the two universities.

The visit saw Dr. Al-Kurdi and Dr. Zahran meeting with the new president of the University of Louisville, Dr. Kim Shuttle, where the Egyptian delegation congratulated her on her assumption of the presidency of the university.

During the meeting, joint programs between the two sides were presented and ways of cooperation were discussed to increase and expand these programs.

The Egyptian delegation visited a number of laboratories at the University of Louisville, in addition to the central library after its development, and was briefed on the latest technologies and technologies used in it, to study the possibility of transferring these technologies, benefiting from them, and applying them at Al Alamein International University.

He also met Dr. Al-Kurdi heads the departments of the Faculty of Engineering at the university; To find out about the latest disciplines and teaching methods used; In addition, a tour of the “First Build” local manufacturers’ factory, in which small ideas of students and the public are adopted and prototypes are implemented with the help of professors and engineers of different departments.

At the end of the visit, the Egyptian delegation met with Egyptian students at the university who were delegated to various programs from the International Universities of El Alamein, Alexandria, and Zewail; to discuss the most important obstacles they face during their studies, and to encourage them to work diligently in studying to complete their mission and return to the homeland to benefit from their experiences, and to transfer their experiences gained during the study period to their colleagues.

For her part, Dr. Chatsel praised the Egyptian efforts to support the educational process in Egypt, and the state’s keenness to develop it, provide it with new study programs that are suitable for the labor market, and provide a distinguished graduate, appreciating the efforts made by Al Alamein International University; to achieve this goal, she also welcomed the discussion of mechanisms for increasing programs between the two universities.
