Egypt, S.Korea sign coop. protocol on RDF production

Minister of Military Production Mohamed el Assar on Friday 08/02/2019 witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the National Organization for Military Production (NOMP) and South Korea’s J.S.T company specialized in the production of Refuse-derived fuel (RDF).

The agreement comes within the framework the state’s keenness to draw up a comprehensive plan for waste management, which in turn could contribute to enhancing environmental, health and living conditions of citizens.

Under the protocol, the NOMP and JST will cooperate to establish RDF plants to operate furnaces of cement factories.

For his part, the JST CEO asserted the importance of boosting cooperation with Egypt’s military production companies, as they manufacture high-quality products and enjoy advanced technologies and highly-qualified cadres.

Also, the South Korean official expressed hope that ongoing cooperation between the JST and the Military Production Ministry could bear its fruit in the field of waste management and generating electricity from waste.
