Egypt opens Rafah crossing for Gaza travelers

The Egyptian authorities Saturday opened the Rafah border crossing to allow Gaza travelers movement in and out of the besieged Gaza Strip, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said passengers gathered at the Gaza side of the crossing since the early hours of the day in preparation to leave.

Travel priority was given to sick people seeking treatment outside Gaza, students studying abroad and holders of residency papers in other countries.

The Egyptian authorities said the crossing will be open in both directions for three days and for humanitarian cases.
