Riyadh: The Ministry of Education and the World Defense Show signed a collaboration agreement yesterday on the sidelines of the 2025 Education Global Exhibition (EDGEx) to organize the "Defensethon" in Riyadh. Under the agreement, the "Defensethon" competition will be held during the third edition of the Future Defense Lab in February 2026.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this initiative aligns with the Ministry of Education's aspirations to create an integrated system for research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, in line with the Kingdom Vision 2030. This collaboration supports both sides' efforts to inspire the next generation of defense and security industry leaders, through the Future Talent Program, which the exhibition has organized in each edition in line with the Kingdom's manpower strategy for the military industries sector.
