Beijing: Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan met with several presidents of universities, institutes, and research centers in the People's Republic of China, accompanied by Saudi Ambassador to China Abdulrahman Al-Harbi and Ministry of Education Undersecretary for International Cooperation Dr. Nasser Al-Aqeeli.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting was part of the minister's visit to China, aimed at opening new avenues for cooperation to advance the educational and research systems in both friendly countries. The minister engaged in discussions with leaders of Chinese universities, institutes, and research centers to explore promising investment opportunities in the public and private education sectors in the Kingdom through the "Invest Saudi" platform.
The meeting also included an overview of the scholarship program offered by the Saudi government to Chinese students via the "Study in Saudi" platform. Additionally, efforts were discussed to increase admission opportunities for Saudi scholarship recipients under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program, with a focus on distinguished graduate programs at Chinese universities.
