ECA wins prestigious international award

The World Bank Group and the International Competition Network (ICN) have awarded the Egyptian Competition Authority (ECA) an international honorary award for a set of measures and initiatives taken by the agency to support competition policies and confront monopolistic practices in times of crisis.

In a statement Saturday 14/05/2022, ECA said the agency won the award in the competition’s third theme: “Engaging through results: successful experiences in planning, implementing, and monitoring advocacy strategies in times of crises.”

The theme covered procedures set by competition agencies to develop and monitor advocacy strategies that play an essential role in determining their success.

It offered an opportunity for competition agencies worldwide to share successful examples of planning, implementing, and monitoring advocacy strategies, focusing on the formal or informal steps to set priorities and measure the results of the advocacy interventions.
