Barcelona: The Eastern Region Municipality participated in the Smart City Expo World Congress 2025 in Barcelona, Spain, from November 4 to 6, to highlight digital transformation and the adoption of cutting-edge smart technologies in urban management.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the municipality's participation also aimed to showcase the Kingdom's leading achievements in smart municipal services and innovative projects in spatial data, the Internet of Things (IoT), AI, geographic information systems, and the transition toward fully integrated smart cities.
The pavilion attracted significant attention from experts, decision-makers, and representatives of international companies, who expressed great interest in its projects and pioneering initiatives. This participation underscores the Municipality's commitment to enhancing its global presence and advancing digital urban transformation in line with the aspirations of the Kingdom's leadership for more sustainable, efficient, and innovative cities.
