Eastern Region Mayor Unveils COP’s New Identity to Boost Digital Integration

Mayor of eastern region: Mayor of Eastern Region Fahad bin Mohammed Al-Jubair launched on Wednesday the new identity of the City Operation Picture Center (COP), in the presence of Deputy Mayor for Digital Transformation and Smart Cities Nael Al-Hogail, Director of COP Abdulrahman Al-Humain, and Director General of Smart Cities Abdulrahman Al-Jurbua.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the move reflects the municipality's drive to enhance technological integration and leverage data and innovation to develop municipal operations and improve the efficiency of urban operations, in line with the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing's directions.

The COP's new identity embodies the concepts of continuity and integration. The logo design was inspired by the infinity symbol (8), symbolizing the continuous flow of data, ongoing integration among systems and sectors, and continuous monitoring and analysis.

It provides a visual representation of the COP's role in building an urban model based on continuous monitoring and proactive assessment of changes, needs, and challenges.

The COP plays a pivotal role in supporting the municipality's operations by leveraging data, analytics, and advanced technologies to assess the urban landscape. This enables the municipality's sectors, government entities, private-sector organizations, and academic and research institutions to benefit from operational data, enhance their understanding of challenges and opportunities, and support data-driven decision-making.

The launch of the COP's new identity builds on the Eastern Region Municipality's efforts to advance digital transformation and leverage modern technologies in municipal operations.

It reflects its drive to build an integrated urban system centered on data, innovation, and partnerships, developing practical technological solutions, enhancing quality of life, and supporting the objectives of building smart and sustainable cities.
