Eastern Region Governor Highlights Al-Khobar’s Progress in Global Liveability Index

Riyadh: Governor of Eastern Region and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharqia Development Authority Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz stated that Al-Khobar's advancement of 13 positions in the Global Liveability Index reflects an ambitious vision and robust support from wise leadership aimed at enhancing the quality of life in Saudi cities. He emphasized the need to accelerate development efforts in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Prince Saud remarked, "This achievement demonstrates effective collaboration among development entities. Al-Khobar's improvement, reaching the 135th rank globally in the Liveability Index report by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) in mid-2025, exemplifies this success."

The Liveability Index is an international reference for assessing the quality of life in cities, measuring stability, healthcare, education, infrastructure, culture, and environment.

The Sharqia Development Authority, in partnership with various entities, implemented initiatives that improved the city's global competitiveness, including promoting achievements and enhancing its image in international reports.
