Dusty Winds to Persist Across Najran, Riyadh, Madinah, and Makkah Regions

Riyadh: Dusty winds are forecasted to persist today across the regions of Najran, Riyadh, Madinah, and Makkah, significantly reducing horizontal visibility to near zero, particularly along the coastal road to Jazan. Temperatures are expected to remain high to extremely high in the Eastern Region, impacting daily activities.

According to Saudi Press Agency, surface winds over the Red Sea will vary throughout the day. In the northern and central parts, winds will be northwesterly to westerly at speeds of 10 to 25 km/h, before shifting in the evening to southerly to southwesterly. In contrast, the southern part will experience westerly to northwesterly winds at 20 to 45 km/h. Wave heights in the Red Sea will range from half to one meter in the north and center, and from one to two meters in the south, resulting in slight sea conditions in the north and center, and moderate conditions in the south.

The Arabian Gulf will see a shift in surface wind patterns as well. Winds will be southerly to southwesterly at the start of the day, transitioning in the evening to northeasterly to easterly in the northern and central parts, and remaining northeasterly to easterly in the south at 10 to 30 km/h. Wave heights are expected to be between half to one meter, maintaining slight sea conditions throughout the region.
