Jeddah: Weather conditions are set to change as dust-stirring winds and varying levels of rainfall hit several regions.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the National Center for Meteorology has issued a forecast indicating that parts of Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah regions could experience moderate to heavy rain and hail.
Light rain is expected in parts of the Najran, Eastern, and Riyadh regions. The forecast details that winds over the Red Sea will shift from northwesterly to northerly, reaching speeds of 42-50 km/h, with wave heights ranging from one to two and a half meters, leading to a sea state that will vary from calm to choppy.
In the Arabian Gulf, the wind patterns will differ, with northwesterly to westerly winds affecting the northern and central parts, while easterly to southeasterly winds will blow through the southern part at speeds of 12-32 km/h. Waves in the Gulf are expected to be between half a meter to one and a half meters, keeping the sea relatively calm.
