Dust-Stirring Winds and Heavy Rain Expected in Several Saudi Regions

Riyadh: Weather forecasts have predicted significant changes across several regions in Saudi Arabia on Friday, with dust-stirring winds and varying levels of rainfall expected to impact the area. The National Center for Meteorology has issued alerts for residents and authorities to prepare for potentially challenging weather conditions.

According to Saudi Press Agency, dust-stirring winds are expected to sweep through Makkah, Madinah, Qassim, Hail, Al-Jouf, and Northern Borders regions, accompanied by moderate to heavy rain and hail. Additionally, light to moderate rain is anticipated in Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, Tabuk, and Eastern regions, with gusty winds affecting the Riyadh Region.

Winds over the Red Sea are expected to vary, with northwesterly to southwesterly winds reaching speeds of 20-60 km/h in the northern and central parts, and southeasterly to southwesterly winds at 20-45 km/h in the southern region. Wave heights may range from 1.5 to over 2.5 meters, causing the sea to be calm to choppy.

In the Arabian Gulf, southeasterly to southwesterly winds will blow at speeds of 15-35 km/h. The waves are predicted to reach heights from half a meter to 1.5 meters, resulting in relatively calm sea conditions.
