Digital Regulatory Academy Holds Digital Policy Leadership and Regulatory Excellence Training Program

The Digital Regulatory Academy (DRA) has held a training program on "Digital Policy Leadership and Regulatory Excellence" in partnership with the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University and the US Telecommunications Training Institute (USTTI). The program aims to create an enabling environment for digital regulations, educate participants on the economics of telecommunications and regulation, and highlight best practices in digital regulation and public policy. The program involved the participation of 31 experts from Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and a number of representatives from the National Regulations Committee and service providers in the field of telecommunication, space, and technology. The five-day program, led by global experts in digital regulation and public policy, highlighted the importance of using diverse methods to comprehend policy and regulatory issues. It focused on analyzing the key factors essential for developing a robust digital system and the sk ills required to create an environment that promotes the deployment, use, and growth of digital technologies. This was achieved through lectures, field visits to companies like Microsoft, case studies, panel discussions, and strategic workshops. The program is part of DRA initiatives to develop national capabilities in public policy and digital regulations as well as to improve regulatory awareness.
