Riyadh: The King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah) has issued a 'Knowledge Guide for the Historical Content of the National Day' as part of its efforts to enrich the Kingdom's 95th National Day celebration in 2025, providing a reliable reference that promotes public awareness of the nation's unification journey and its major achievements over the decades.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the 97-page guide provides essential information for preparing media and educational materials related to the National Day. It covers a range of historical and national topics, beginning with a review of the declaration of the unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on September 19, 1932, issued by order of the late King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud. He designated September 23 as the official National Day to be celebrated annually in commemoration of this pivotal moment in the nation's history.

The guide features a chapter on the Saudi flag and includes a selection of historic speeches delivered by Saudi kings on National Day over the years, reflecting the spirit of unity, progress, and development.

This publication adds significant value to the national library and serves as a rich resource for researchers, academics, and media professionals. It offers documented and diverse material that highlights the Kingdom's historical depth and supports meaningful national participation in commemorating National Day. The guide is also part of the King Abdulaziz Foundation's mission to preserve and disseminate the history of King Abdulaziz and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia while strengthening a national identity rooted in unity and pride.

The National Day guide is available through the King Abdulaziz Foundation's electronic portal.
