Riyadh: The King Abdulaziz Public Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah) signed a memorandum of cooperation yesterday with the National Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The agreement aims to enhance joint efforts and knowledge exchange in preserving national memory and promoting scientific research. This cooperation reflects Darah's commitment to expanding its international partnerships in documentation, archiving, and historical studies.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Darah was represented by its CEO Turki Al-Shuwaier, while the Kazakh side was represented by Director of the National Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlanova Sagila Esimseitovna. This step affirms the commitment of both parties to building bridges of knowledge and cultural cooperation. It emphasizes the exchange of institutional and research expertise and the implementation of joint scientific projects.

Areas of cooperation include the exchange of historical materials of mutual interest and expertise in restoration, binding, and digital archiving. The agreement also involves sharing scholarly publications and institutional knowledge. Additionally, it covers the organization of specialized conferences, workshops, and exhibitions, alongside the training and development of researchers and personnel working in the field of documentation.
