Riyadh: In the presence of Special Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah) Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan, Darah and the Ministry of Education yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at supporting scholarship programs, expanding their qualitative fields, and aligning them with national research and knowledge priorities. The signing took place at Darah's headquarters at the King Abdulaziz Historical Center.

According to Saudi Press Agency, during the signing ceremony, the "King Abdulaziz Foundation Scholarship Program" was launched by Darah to support scholarship students, to strengthen their academic engagement with Darah, and enable them to access its extensive digital resources, including documents, manuscripts, and rare maps, to help guide their academic research in service of the Kingdom's history and national memory.

The program provides scholarship students with academic, advisory, and methodological support, alongside access to specialized workshops and publishing opportunities. It also integrates scholars into the Visiting Researcher Program, enhancing the quality of their research outputs both during and beyond their scholarship period.

The MoU focuses on creating specialized scholarship tracks within the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program to meet Darah's objectives. Additionally, it provides students and graduates with professional training in historical research, archiving, documentary preservation, and knowledge management.
