Paris: The route of the Dakar Rally 2027, which Saudi Arabia will host for the eighth consecutive edition, will be unveiled at a press conference in Paris on Tuesday, the Saudi Motorsport Company (SMC) announced.
According to Saudi Press Agency, SMC is the promoter of the Dakar Rally, operating under the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF) and supervised by the Ministry of Sport. Chairman of SAMF and SMC Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdullah bin Faisal will attend the conference, along with SMC CEO Mansour AlMokbel. Also present will be CEO of Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.) Yann Le Moenner, Rally Director David Castera, and international media representatives.
The press conference will present full details of the new route, including key stages and experiences that will define the next edition of the rally. It highlights the Dakar Rally's continued evolution and strong presence in Saudi Arabia, reinforcing the Kingdom's position as a global hub for motorsport.
The unveiling builds on the success of previous editions and further cements Saudi Arabia's status as a leading destination for major international sporting events, supported by advanced infrastructure and growing organizational expertise.

The announcement follows the success of the previous edition, won by Qatari driver Nasser Al-Attiyah in one of the most competitive and intense editions.
