Czech Marie Bouzkova qualified for the final match of the Washington 500-point tennis tournament, after defeating Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka (ranked third in the world) with a score of 6/4, 3/6, 6/3. The 26-year-old Bouzkova set a date in the final with the Spanish Paula Badosa, who did not face much difficulty in overcoming her American competitor Dolehide on her way to the final match in two sets without a response 6/3 and 6/3. The 26-year-old Spaniard, winner of the 2021 Indian Wells tournament, will be seeking her fourth title. Former world number two Badosa, will play her first final since Sydney in January 2022. In the men's tournament, American Sebastian Korda, ranked (22), will face Italian Flavio Cobolli, ranked (48) in the final after they defeated American Frances Tiafoe in two straight sets, 6/4, 6/2, and another American, Ben Shelton, in two sets to one, 4/6, 7/5, 6/3, respectively.
