Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Invited by Iraqi President to Attend Summits

Riyadh: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received an invitation from President of the Republic of Iraq Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid to attend the 34th Ordinary Session of the Council of the Arab League at the Summit Level. The invitation also extends to the 5th Session of the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit, both to be hosted by Iraq later this month.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the invitation was delivered to Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah during a meeting with Iraq's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Fuad Hussein at the ministry's headquarters in Riyadh.

During the meeting, discussions were held on the fraternal relations between Saudi Arabia and Iraq. The two sides also covered regional and international developments and the ongoing efforts related to these matters.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister for Political Affairs Ambassador Dr. Saud Al-Sati.
