Jeddah: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud presided over the Cabinet session held today in Jeddah. The session highlighted significant advancements in Saudi Arabia's international relations, particularly with the United States.
According to Saudi Press Agency, King Salman expressed gratitude to US President Donald J. Trump for his acceptance of the invitation to visit Saudi Arabia. The outcomes of President Trump's discussions with His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, were praised, with expectations set for unprecedented levels of bilateral relations across essential sectors. The discussions aim to bolster economic integration between the two nations.
The Cabinet reviewed the Saudi-US Summit, emphasizing the signing of the Strategic Economic Partnership and various agreements and memoranda of understanding. The Cabinet affirmed its dedication to enhancing investment and trade relations with the US over the next four years, with over $600 billion earmarked for this purpose, including more than $300 billion in deals and mutual investments announced at the Saudi-US Investment Forum.
Following the session, Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed, Minister of State, Cabinet Member for Shura Council Affairs, and Acting Minister of Media, conveyed to the Saudi Press Agency that the Cabinet acknowledged the comprehensive vision presented in HRH the Crown Prince's speech at the GCC-USA Summit. The speech underscored Saudi Arabia's commitment to strengthening joint coordination and advancing multilateral actions for prosperity and progress. It also highlighted the Kingdom's support for resolving regional and international conflicts through peaceful means.
The Cabinet applauded the US president's positive response to lifting sanctions on Syria, expressing hope for the development and reconstruction of the country. Additionally, the Cabinet reiterated Saudi Arabia's stance at the 34th Ordinary Session of the Council of the Arab League Summit, rejecting forced displacement and imposed solutions that do not meet Palestinian aspirations, while emphasizing the importance of maintaining the ceasefire in Gaza.
The Cabinet celebrated the 10th anniversary of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) for its global humanitarian efforts and recognized domestic achievements such as the success of the National Industrial Strategy in attracting major automotive industry leaders to establish factories in the Kingdom.
Furthermore, the Cabinet lauded Saudi students for prestigious awards won at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF 2025), highlighting the state's commitment to education and fostering innovation.
The session concluded with several decisions, including approvals and authorizations for international cooperation across various sectors, such as strategic partnerships with Japan, civil aviation safety with Russia, and communications technology with Uzbekistan. Other agreements included cooperation in health with Singapore, mineral wealth with Kazakhstan, and combating terrorism with Somalia.
