Culture Minister Inas Abdel Dayem announced on Thursday 17/9/2020 that 2,500 persons have visited the fifth edition of “Treasures of Our Art Museums: ‘Selection of European Art’ exhibition” in 48 hours.
She added that the high turnout at the exhibition asserts that Egypt protects artistic and cultural heritage.
The exhibition includes 100 various pieces of art that date back to the 18th and 19th centuries, she noted.
The minister called on all Egyptians to visit the exhibition, which she said largely contributes to spreading the visual culture and artistic aesthetics among Egyptians.
Abdel Dayem also gave her orders to officials to publish a copy of the artworks displayed on the official websites of the culture ministry and the State Information Service in order to allow the whole world to watch the artistic treasures of Egypt.
The exhibition, is open until October 31, includes pieces of Paul Gauguin, Camille Pissarro, Auguste Rodin, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Alfred Sisley, Edgar Degas, Delacroix, Claude Monet, Edouard Manet, Gustave Courbet, and others.
