Culture Ministry Announces Launch of Sixth Edition of National Cultural Awards

Kabul: The Ministry of Culture has announced the launch of the sixth edition of the National Cultural Awards, reaffirming its commitment to celebrating creative excellence across various cultural fields. The ministry opens nominations to members of the cultural community and the public, inviting them to nominate themselves or others for the awards dedicated to the cultural sectors. According to Saudi Press Agency, the National Cultural Awards are divided into two main categories. The first category is dedicated to the main awards, which include seven awards: Cultural Personality of the Year Award, Youth Culture Award, Business Leaders Award, Cultural Institutions Award (For-Profit), Cultural Institutions Award (Non-Profit), Cultural Media Award, and International Cultural Excellence Award.

The second category is dedicated to the sectoral awards, which include 12 awards: Literature Award, Publishing Award, Theater and Performing Arts Award, Culinary Arts Award, Architecture and Design Award, Translation Award, Fashion Award, Film Award, National Heritage Award, Music Award, Visual Arts Award, and Handcraft Award.

The National Cultural Awards are part of the Ministry of Culture's efforts to honor cultural sector pioneers each year, recognize the achievements of individuals and institutions across the various cultural fields, and acknowledge their contributions to the sector. The awards also motivate national cultural talents and showcase cultural production at the local and international levels.
