Culture Ministers from Saudi Arabia and Yemen Discuss Enhanced Cultural Collaboration

Riyadh: Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan engaged in a meeting with Yemeni Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism Muammar Al-Eryani on the sidelines of the 13th Conference of Ministers of Culture in the Islamic World. The discussions focused on strengthening cultural ties and collaborative efforts between the two nations.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Prince Badr commended the collaboration between the Saudi and Yemeni ministries of culture, noting the successful Yemeni Orchestra concert recently held in Riyadh as a testament to their productive partnership. The meeting explored avenues for enhancing cooperation and cultural exchange across various sectors, emphasizing joint initiatives with cultural organizations like UNESCO.

The dialogue also included discussions on Saudi Arabia's initiative to preserve archaeological sites in Yemen. Both ministers reaffirmed their commitment to heritage protection, with Prince Badr reiterating Saudi Arabia's support for projects aimed at preserving Yemen's cultural heritage through the International Alliance for the Protection of Heritage (ALIPH).
