Cultural Symposium Discusses Saudi-China Cultural Convergence in Riyadh


Riyadh: The King Abdulaziz Public Library, in collaboration with Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU), hosted a cultural symposium titled “Cultural Bridges Between Riyadh and Beijing” yesterday at PNU. The event marked the Saudi-Chinese Cultural Year 2025.



According to Saudi Press Agency, the symposium featured two dialogue sessions. The first session, “From the Light of Libraries to the Glow of Awards,” showcased speaker representatives from the King Abdulaziz Public Library and the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Award for Cultural Cooperation between Saudi Arabia and China. The second session was titled “From the Heart of Riyadh to Beijing: Experiences Woven by Language and Culture.” Live Chinese translation was provided during the discussions.



Insightful working papers explored cultural convergence, focusing on the King Abdulaziz Public Library and the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Award for Cultural Cooperation between Saudi Arabia and China. Introductory films also highlighted the growing Saudi-Chinese cultural ties in science and knowledge.



An accompanying exhibition at the event featured displays from King Abdulaziz Public Library and the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Award for Cultural Cooperation between Saudi Arabia and China, along with artwork by students from PNU’s Asian Languages Department and contributions from Chinese communities in Riyadh.
