CST Holds Session on Capability Development Products for Space Sector Startups

Riyadh: The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST), in partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the National Technology Development Program (NTDP), held a session titled 'Products for Capability Development in Space Startups.' The session aimed to raise awareness of support programs for space sector startups, expand opportunities for collaboration with national programs, and maximize the use of available enablers to support business development.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the session featured an overview of government products and initiatives supporting entrepreneurs, delivered by MCIT and NTDP to enable startups in the space sector, including the Recruitment and Nomination Initiative, Tamkeen, the Digital Talent Network Initiative, the 'Waed' Initiative, and the 'Career Fairs' Initiative.

The session also highlighted the impact of these products in reducing the financial burden on technology startups and small businesses, strengthening their ability to attract talent, and supporting their long-term sustainability and growth. The initiatives also play a key role in helping startups overcome operational challenges, creating quality employment opportunities for national talent, and advancing the localization of specialized technology roles.

The session is part of CST's efforts to foster entrepreneurship in the space sector and enable startups to scale and grow. It also reflects CST's commitment to connecting startups with national support programs and enablers and facilitating access to these resources, which contribute to the development of the space market and help ensure the availability of space services to beneficiaries across the Kingdom.
