Cairo: The Council of Arab Information Ministers, during its 55th session held on Wednesday at the headquarters of the Arab League General Secretariat, approved granting observer status to both the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT).
According to Saudi Press Agency, the council stated that its approval reflects a commitment to engaging media actors in the Arab and Islamic world. This decision aims to strengthen cooperation with organizations and bodies involved in media activities to facilitate the exchange of expertise and benefit from their experiences, plans, and programs in the media field.
As a result of this new development, the Council of Arab Information Ministers will now include a total of 20 organizations and unions. These entities work across various fields related to news, production, programming, audiovisual media, and the professional development of media personnel.
