Riyadh: The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has launched a new initiative, in partnership with several educational and training institutions across the Kingdom, to use the summer break productively by enhancing digital skills across all segments of society and raising awareness of emerging technologies, particularly AI.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative focuses on equipping participants with future-ready skills in a dynamic learning environment that combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience. The training content spans various fields, including programming fundamentals, data analysis, the Internet of Things (IoT), generative AI, and technology ethics.
It is organized into three tracks, each tailored to the needs of specific target groups. The first track is designed for students under 18 and features interactive workshops that introduce participants to key concepts in AI, robotics, and the IoT in an engaging and simplified way. The second track targets university students and professionals, offering advanced courses that help them apply AI technologies to develop practical solutions within their academic or professional environments. The third track is geared toward leaders and decision-makers in the public and private sectors, aiming to raise strategic awareness about the importance of digital transformation and the adoption of institutional policies that support emerging technologies.
The initiative is part of the ministry's broader efforts to build a sustainable digital ecosystem and contribute to reinforcing the Kingdom's position as a regional hub for digital talent.
