Communications Minister Meets Saudi Innovators and Research Community in London

London: Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha met with a group of innovators and postgraduate students from among the Kingdom's national talents in London, as part of his visit to the United Kingdom.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting aimed to inspire the community of innovators, scientists, and researchers to help realize the Kingdom's aspirations for a technology-, AI-, and innovation-driven economy. The meeting was attended by Vice Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Haitham bin Abdulrahman Al-Ohali, Acting Director General of the Research, Development, and Innovation Authority Dr. Sultan Binsaeed, along with several leaders from the innovation ecosystem.

Discussions focused on supporting the efforts of innovators and researchers in line with national priorities in research, development, and innovation, and on leveraging research capabilities to develop impactful solutions that support Saudi Vision 2030. The meeting also emphasized the role of Saudi talents abroad in contributing to the local innovation ecosystem and representing the Kingdom in international scientific forums.
