Commerce Ministry Conducts over 21,000 Inspection Visits in Makkah, Madinah Since Start of Ramadan

Makkah: Inspection teams of the Ministry of Commerce carried out more than 20,000 regulatory inspection visits and 1,937 supply monitoring visits to commercial establishments and retail outlets in Makkah and Madinah regions since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan. According to Saudi Press Agency, the visits covered the central markets, hypermarkets, retail outlets in the central areas, gold and jewelry shops, fuel stations on the roads leading to Makkah and Madinah, and the Miqats. These inspection visits aim to verify the availability of all types of goods, including food supplies, consumer products, and Ramadan products, and to ensure that goods and products comply with approved standard specifications and that establishments and retail outlets adhere to consumer protection regulations.
