Makkah: Inspection teams from the Ministry of Commerce conducted 23,000 inspections in Makkah during Ramadan, amid the influx of Umrah performers and visitors. The inspections aimed to ensure businesses complied with sales regulations, offered sufficient goods to meet demand, and verified advertised discounts.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the inspections covered the area around the Grand Mosque, clothing stores, and shops selling Umrah supplies located at entry points to Makkah and along access roads. Businesses inspected included food retailers, clothing stores, jewelry shops, tire shops, service centers, and gas stations.
