Madinah: The Ministry of Commerce's branch in Madinah Region conducted 4,834 inspection visits to commercial establishments as pilgrims arrived in Madinah after completing their Hajj rituals. Intensive inspection tours were conducted to monitor the services provided to pilgrims, verify the availability of food commodities, assess price levels, and ensure compliance with consumer protection regulations among commercial establishments.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the visits included key locations such as the central area of the Prophet's Mosque, the Quba Mosque, the Qiblatain Mosque, the Miqat Dhu Al-Hulayfah, Haramain High-Speed Railway stations, markets and shopping centers, gold and jewelry markets, service centers, gas stations in the region, and roads leading to the Prophet's Mosque.
The ministry continues to perform its duties during the Hajj season, supporting the arrival of pilgrims to Madinah both before and after they perform the Hajj rituals. It monitors the supply situation in markets and retail outlets, protecting consumer rights.
