Riyadh: Colleges of Excellence has expanded its international footprint by signing strategic agreements with key British educational institutions at the GREAT FUTURES event in London, aimed at enhancing educational standards and aligning with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 objectives.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the agreements include a memorandum of understanding with the University of Surrey to establish a university of applied sciences in Saudi Arabia, adhering to international educational standards. Additionally, a cooperation agreement was signed with Lincoln College International to operate the International Technical Colleges, known as Itqan, offering advanced training programs in inspection, welding, health, and safety. A separate memorandum of understanding was also finalized with City and Guilds to develop curricula, professional standards, and accreditations in technical and vocational training.
These partnerships are designed to elevate the quality of education and training to meet international benchmarks, equipping national cadres with competitive skills that are aligned with labor market demands. The initiative supports the Vision 2030 goals for human capital development, aiming to position Saudi Arabia as a leading global hub for applied education and training.
Colleges of Excellence highlighted that these agreements represent a significant step toward preparing Saudi youth for a prosperous future, underscoring the leadership's dedication to enhancing the Kingdom's educational landscape.
