Civil Defense Warns of Prolonged Thunderstorms and Rain Across the Kingdom

Riyadh: With thunderstorms and rainfall expected to affect most of the Kingdom's regions until next Monday, the General Directorate of Civil Defense urged caution and advised the public to stay in safe areas, avoid gathering in flood-prone areas and valleys, refrain from swimming in them, and follow the instructions announced through various media outlets and social-media platforms.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Makkah region will experience moderate rainfall, potentially leading to flash floods, hail, and downward winds that may cause dust and sandstorms. The Riyadh region will also be affected by moderate rainfall, which may result in flash floods, hail, and strong winds, leading to dust and sandstorms.

Civil Defense also indicated that the regions of Al-Qassim, Northern Borders, and Al-Jouf will experience moderate rainfall. Light to moderate rain is expected to affect areas in the Southern and Eastern provinces, including Al-Baha, Aseer, Hail, the Eastern Region, and Madinah.
