Civil Defense Warns of Continued Thunderstorms Across Saudi Arabia Through Friday

Riyadh: The General Directorate of Civil Defense urged the public to exercise caution, remain in safe locations, and avoid areas prone to flash floods and valleys, following instructions disseminated across media platforms, due to expected thunderstorms continuing across most of the Kingdom through Friday.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the directorate provided a regional breakdown of the weather forecast, expecting moderate to heavy rainfall in Makkah Region, which could lead to flash floods, hail, and dust storms, affecting Taif, Maysan, Adham, Al-Ardiyat, and Turbah. Light to moderate rain is also expected in Riyadh, Al-Muzahimiyah, Dhurma, Shaqra, Thadiq, Huraymila, Diriyah, Ramah, Hawtat Bani Tamim, Al-Hariq, Al-Kharj, Al-Zulfi, and other affiliated governorates.

Additionally, Al-Baha, Aseer, Jazan, and Najran regions will be affected by moderate to heavy rainfall, which could lead to flash floods, hail, and dust storms, while light to moderate rain is expected in Qassim, Hail, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, Northern Borders, and Eastern regions.
